The Innland regions only art museum. Lillehammer museum of art is located in the heart of the city and houses a collection of around 1500 works of art of different genres and perspectives, from which Norway’s history of art from the 1800’s onwards is told.
The main building, designed by the architect firm Snøhetta, is now seen as an iconic piece of architecture. The museum Holds numerous exhibitions, of both classic and modern art, throughout the year. Guest can also enjoy a coffee in the museums cafe and peruse the wares on sale in the shop.
