Øyerfjellet is home to more than 50 freshwater lakes, all of which are just a short distance from Pellestova.
On the Øyer Fjellstyre Website you will find a wealth of information about each individual lake as well as the number and species of fish you are likely to find in each. We encourage everyone who wants to try fishing to acquaint themselves with the local fishing rules.

Reinsvatnet is not under the jurisdiction of the Øyer Fjellstyret fishing card but, landowners Fride and Bjørnar Bjørnstad are more than happy to take guests out to try their luck. Reinsvannet is home to trout and whitefish (‘’sik’’) which Frida and Bjørnar sell during the summer months. Pretty much every weekend it’s possible join Frida and Bjørnar on one of their fishing escapades, and you can purchase as much of the haul as you like afterwards. They have space for 2-3 people and you can reserve you place by contacting them direct on tlf 413 17 220
