The Norwegian Road Museum is a fascinating place for people of all ages and a worthwhile visit if you want a break from the mountains. Entry is free and the museum is comprised of a large indoor exhibition, a new automobile museum, a large museum park and a unique, over 200 m long, tunnel housing the history of tunnel building. For large parts of the year guests can also find an agricultural store, cafe and a host of events for kids and grown ups alike.
During the summer months, the museum park provides a pleasant outdoor area with plenty of space to relax. Guest will also find play areas and numerous vehicles are scattered around the grounds. You might even find Pelle’s old belt driven truck hidden away in the museum.
