When Bjørn Rune Gjelsten took over Pellestova, the vision was to create a place where people could gather after a day outdoors and enjoy great food and a good glass of wine in a relaxed atmosphere.
Today, Pellestova is home to one of Norway’s most renowned wine collections. With two wine cellars – one at Pellestova Hotel and one at Slakteriet Restaurant – we offer a broad and carefully curated selection of wines from some of the world’s leading producers.
The hotel’s wine cellar houses more than 450 different wines, including iconic names such as Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Lucien Le Moine, and Antinori. Combined with our unique mountain setting, this makes Pellestova a truly special destination for wine enthusiasts.
Slakteriet Restaurant has its own wine cellar, slightly smaller in size but equally exclusive in content, featuring a handpicked selection of premium wines from leading wine regions around the world. The two wine cellars complement each other, allowing us to tailor wine experiences to each individual concept.
Our knowledgeable staff are always happy to help you find the perfect wine to accompany your meal – or a great glass to enjoy in the lounge.
