The homestead at Sjøsætra is roughly 8 km from Pellestova and a great choice for a day trip by bike. The homestead is open a number of days in July (be sure top check before you go) and in addition to seeing all the goats, chickens, rabbits and other animals on the farm, you can also join in the evenings activities in the barn.
A trip to Sjøsætra can easily be combined with a trip to Sjøseterfjellet or a snack at Snauskallen.
