Hitfjell by e-bike

When: June – October
Distance: apporx. 14 km round trip

Without doubt one of the best trails in the area with numerous challenges and highlights. Aimed at those with some trail biking experience, but also for those who want to try something new and exciting on one of the best trails on offer. You should ideally like a little action, and being off the beaten track, but having said that this trail is accessible to everyone.  On this trip you get to see why this particular trail attracts so many riders from all over!

From Pellestova follow the trail towards Malmtjønnet. As you wind your way up towards the road you will already begin to see the extra kick an e-bike gives you. When you hit the road, head left, then right at the next junction, and follow it to Hita (ca 3 km) and pick up the trail (on the right hand side) from there.

The trail up to Hitfjell is fairly easy going on an e-bike and once at the top you can take in the views while enjoying a snack or a drink.

From here you head back down the same trail you rode up, turning left at Hita and following the gravel road back to Pellestova.

Be aware! This trail is used by both walkers and bikers alike, so remember to show the proper etiquette and respect when riding.

Useful information

Our staff are on hand to help

Our staff are on hand to answer any questions you may have about activities or trips in the area. We always try to keep our guests updated about the weather conditions during their stay with us, and can help you plan your day accordingly.

Forgotten something?

We have a selection of sporting goods, from head torches to water bottles and sunglasses, available at reception

Feel free to stop by and pick up anything you might have forgotten to pack.

Dress for the weather

Always pack some extra clothes should the weather turn nasty.

The weather in the mountains can be unpredictable and change in the blink of an eye. We  therefore implore all our guest top pack accordingly and ideally follow the three layer system: a base layer (t-shirt/thermal top), a mid layer (insulated jacket/fleece) and an outer layer (wind/water resistant shell).

Using three layers allows you to regulate temperature thus keeping you warm should the weather get cold or take one off to cool you down.

If you are planning to stop for lunch it is advisable to pack an insulated pad to sit on.
