Reinsfjellet
When: December- April
Distance: Approx. 11 km round trip
The Reinsfjellet round trip takes you through gentle rolling countryside up to rugged terrain above the tree line. The high point of the trip is the view out towards the Rondane Mountain range in the north.
As the majority of this trip is on exposed terrain it is best done in clement weather with little wind.
The trip starts from Pellestova and from there you follow the main tracks over Reinsfjellet and on towards Kriksvika where you turn left following signs for Hitdalen and thereafter follow signs for Pellestova.
The return trip starts with a gentle downhill at the end of which you come to the main trail back towards Pellestova. From here you begin your ascent up the long climb back to the hotel.
