Located at the top of Hafjell with miles of cross-country ski trails right outside the door, Pellestova Hotel is the dream destination for those who love cross-country skiing. Our front door is just 50 meters from the cross-country ski track, so here you truly get ski-in/ski-out access!
We like to boast that we have the world’s best ski tracks right outside our door, and a mountain that is more or less made for cross-country skiing. If it’s not the world’s best, we are reasonably sure that we compete at the top of Norway’s absolute best terrain for cross-country skiing. And to further develop this, we have purchased our own grooming machine, so our guests always have freshly groomed tracks – regardless of the weather.
The network of cross-country ski trails in Øyerfjellet and Hafjell is nothing short of 300 km of groomed trails, and with connections to both Mosetertoppen, Nordseter, and Sjusjøen, you can ski well over 1000 km if you wish. Among others, the famous Trolløypa stretches through and past Pellestova, starting at Høvringen in Rondane and finishing in Lillehammer.
We are proud sponsors and active contributors to Øyer Turskiløyper, which is responsible for the physical grooming of all cross-country ski trails in Hafjell and Øyerfjellet. Their machines are located with us at Pellestova, so we are the first to have freshly groomed cross-country ski trails. It is not entirely without reason that we call ourselves a cross-country skiing paradise.
