Seven Peaks

When: June – October
Duration: Approx. 27 km

Every year the Norwegian Tourist board hosts the annual 7 peaks trail from Pellestova but the trail is also one you can do on your own. This longer more demanding trail is 27km long and takes you through varied terrain. Reputed to take between 7 – 8 hours to complete this is an idyllic trail which really shows the diversity and beauty of the area surrounding Pellestova.

The trail starts right outside the hotel with the first peak on the list being Hafjell.

For those looking for a shorter but equally enjoyable trip, why not try going for three or even five of the seven peaks!

Dress for the weather

Always pack some extra clothes should the weather turn nasty.

The weather in the mountains can be unpredictable and change in the blink of an eye. We  therefore implore all our guest top pack accordingly and ideally follow the three layer system: a base layer (t-shirt/thermal top), a mid layer (insulated jacket/fleece) and an outer layer (wind/water resistant shell).

Using three layers allows you to regulate temperature thus keeping you warm should the weather get cold or take one off to cool you down.

If you are planning to stop for lunch it is advisable to pack an insulated pad to sit on.
